In 1994 McFarlane Productions released a six figurine set based on McFarlane's indie comic Spawn, which was at the time and still is the most popular independent comic book in history. The clear one, of course, is much harder to find, and really, how stupid is it to make a variant of a big, expensive box set? Who but scalpers will be able to 1) find it or 2) afford it? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Now, the original art was a recolored version of the so-called "Extremis" Armor, which is close to the movie's, but has some definite differences; Hasbro's done its best to copy the comic, but some things just can't line up. His is a nice re-creation of the motorcycle used in the second film. Yes, we've had a Spider-Man, a Silver Surfer, a Wolverine before, but what we haven't had is a symbiote Spider-Man, a Silver Savage, or a black Wolverine. Collecting action figures can be a lot of fun and going back through them in the future even better if you care for them properly. Soft cheap plastic, a poor sculpt, and no paint details make them just plain ugly.
