The box is more than just black ink printed on cardboard - its a glossy image much like any box you'd find in stores, and appears to use photos of real wood to complete the appearance. Most action figures lose at least 30% of their value if they are opened and removed from the original packaging. A nice little extra, it's nowhere near the detailed base that the original Punisher came with, but it's nice enough.
