Make: Online : Mashing up your own action figures
It was their introduction, even more than Spider-Man, that kicked off the modern Marvel Universe. Wired.com has a nice package of three articles covering action figure modding. [wow, look at all that detail you can't see!] If this figure looks like a return to the old ToyBiz days, there's a reason for that: 95% of this figure is a direct re-use of the brown ML6 Wolverine. Also, I would have liked to see the star-emblem on the chest be slightly raised, like the gold around the cuffs, but I imagine there might have been some difficulty getting it to look good with the soft PVC. Stan Lee the creator of these characters has been creating superheroes and super-villains for a very long time. The ribbon or belt or whatever on the hat is also painted as are the buttons on the satchel. Others thought it was a spoiler for the end of Civil War, with Steve Rogers donning the suit (it wasn't that, either). Jones, cementing the theory that this is a "real artifact" - what fun! [bury me with my favorite chair] It's a nice extra touch to the overall product, which doesn't really serve any function rather than boosting the "neat!" effect.
